Simon Reif
Prof. Dr. Simon Reif is professor of Health Economics at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg as well as head of the Research Group “Health Care Markets and Health Policy” at ZEW – Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim. He studied sociology and economics at the University of Hull, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and the LMU Munich. In 2018, he received his Ph.D. from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg with a doctoral dissertation on “On the Supply of Medical Services – Four Essays in Health Economics”. Before joining ZEW, he worked as a policy and start-up consultant. His research interest concentrates on behavioural and institutional factors influencing the provision of medical services and the effects of digitalization on health care delivery.
